Heropanti is an upcoming Indian action drama film directed by Sabbir Khan. It stars Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and presented by Fox Star Studios, who co-produced with Boney Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures. It will release on 25 June 2014. The film will be distributed worldwide by Fox Star Studios, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Balaji Motion Pictures. It is an action-drama film, will have three producers. The principal photography of the movie commenced on 17 March 2014. The movie is being shot in Agra The first look of the movie was released on 25 April 2014. The title was revealed on 29 April 2014 at a press conference held in Mumbai. India Heropanti opened to mixed reviews, but it received an occupancy rate of just 10% during its first day at the box office.
The film score and soundtrack were composed by Sandeep Chowta. Lyrics are penned by Kumaar, Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Pawan Hansraj Singh of The Times of India gave 2 stars out of 5 saying that "the film lacks depth" whilst calling the film "a textbook example of low-budget formula". A critic who reviewed the movie for The Hindu wrote "For all the cute, self-deprecating humour, Heropanti is formulaic and doesn’t make any attempt to either reinvent or break new ground; it is made with no sense of irony or self awareness. It’s funny but not funny. In all, a watchable but utterly forgettable film". The editor of Koimoi.com rated it 5/10 Rajeev Masand gave 3 stars out of 5 saying that ""Heropanti is essentially a formulaic storyline with a few punchlines thrown in every now and then, and the film doesn't do anything to try and shake up that formula. Unlike a handful of innovative films in Hindi cinema, its not funny or original enough to justify being seen on its own".". In his review for "Filmfare", Saibal Chatterjee called it "listless. Kapoor lends sexiness to her role, but Sanon's sulky-teen act comes across as forced. The movie has an overdose of angst". Tushar Joshi of "DNA India" rated the film 3 out of 5 saying that ""Heropanti is an entertaining package with just the right amount of action, romance and comedy"". Hrithik Roshan said that 'Heropanti was a horrible film'.
The music has been composed by Sandeep Chowta while the lyrics have been penned by Kumaar and Amitabh Bhattacharya. The soundtrack consists of 8 songs.
